Who are the workshops for?

Our programs are designed for primary school students, with activities tailored to different ages and experience levels from Year 1 through Year 6.

Does my child need any robotics or coding experience?

Not at all. Our programs cater for beginners as well as children who have participated in Bricks and Blocks before. We make sure every child has an appropriate challenge.

Is LEGO® provided?

Yes. We provide the LEGO® Education robotics kits and iPads needed for our workshops, so there's no need to purchase or bring your own equipment. The equipment is used across several workshops and is quite expensive, so unfortunately your child will not be able to take it home at the end of the program.

Who runs the workshops?

Bricks and Blocks was founded by primary school teacher Rohan Kamp. Our programs are teacher-designed and delivered by a friendly, trained team who are experienced in working with children.

Can siblings attend together?

Yes, where the appropriate age groups and workshop levels allow. We recommend checking the individual program details when booking.

How do I book?

Choose the program that's right for your child and follow the booking link. If you're not sure which program is the best fit, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

What do children actually do?

Children build, code and test their own LEGO® robotics creations. They solve challenges, experiment with ideas and work individually and collaboratively to bring their creations to life.

What should my child bring?
Children simply need to bring themselves, their curiosity, and a willingness to build, code, and play! We'll provide the robotics equipment and iPads. Specific programs may have additional requirements, which we'll let you know when you book.

Please note that personal electronic devices (such as phones and tablets) are not to be used during class time unless explicitly permitted by staff for a specific activity, and toys or personally owned LEGO should remain in bags outside the classroom. For more information, please refer to Section 7: Toys and Electronic Devices.

What happens if my child is new or feels nervous?

That's completely okay. Our team is there to help children get started, find their feet and feel comfortable. There's no expectation that they need to know how to code or build before they arrive. Please add this to your notes when you are booking.

Can schools book Bricks and Blocks?

Absolutely. We offer school workshops, incursions and professional development, with programs that can be tailored to suit your students, teachers and learning goals.

What if I have another question?

Just ask! We're a small, friendly team and we're happy to help you find the right program for your child.
